I came across the remains of this very old log home one afternoon while out on one of my house hunting drives. There isn't too much left to this site. This is undoubtedly one of the oldest properties that I have come across to date. Based on the construction of what remains of the home, I'm guessing that it is well over 100 years old. Next to the home lies the foundation of the barn.

Only 3 walls remain of the home.

A view from the front of the property, with the house on the left, the barn on the right. It was a beautiful piece of property.

A view from the side of the house shows a window.

The old well and pump.

Various pieces of old and rusting farm machinery are scattered about the site. We also found a large patch of wild raspberries that was growing inside of the remains of the home. The property is for sale, and one can only assume that it is only a matter of time before the remains are flattened, and this piece of history, like many others, is lost forever.
