I found this property by ignoring the "UNASSUMED ROAD! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!" signs at the halfway point down a long lonely concession road.

The house was a small, sided single story dwelling. This abandoned house was one that you walk towards and feel like you're being watched. Although obviously deserted, I couldn't shake the feeling, and crept up with a hint of caution.

Because of the remoteness of the site, it was so quiet, it was almost eerie. A light breeze lent itself to the occasional creaking sound coming somewhere from the house. I still felt as though at any moment, someone would pop their face out of one of the missing windows.

After crawling over some fallen porch framing and fighting my way through some undergrowth, I found a way in. Errie feelings or not, I can't resist going inside.

My first peek inside revealed a decaying interior, full of color and layers of paint and wallpaper.

An old window frame amongst the ruins.

This was the main room, a combination living area and kitchen.

An old enameled steel sink sat amongst the simple cabinets and ceramic tiled wall.

A really cool vintage era couch. Although littered with bird droppings, it was still in amazingly good shape.

A side view of the same really cool sectional couch.

A very well weatherd and aged door lay on the floor.

This is what remained of the bedroom. An old bedframe had been ravaged by animals. This was the second of just 2 rooms in the small house.

Another exterior door. The green color of paint on this door seems to be widespread amongst many of the properties that I have visited. I could only imagine how cold it would have been in the winter in this house.

This old windmill was in incredibly good shape, and still swung and turned in the breeze.
